Matsushita strengthens north american lighting component operations

Vossloh-Schwabe Matsushita Electric Works today announced the merger of Matsushita’s North American lighting components operations, Vossloh-Schwabe Inc. and the Lighting Division of Aromat Inc.. The decision was taken by Matsushita Electric Work’s (MEW) headquarter in order to strengthen the company’s position on the NAFTA markets (USA, Canada, Mexico). It will be effective as of July 1, 2005.

The new entity will operate under the Vossloh-Schwabe brand, with registered offices in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. It complements an extended product portfolio, enhanced customer proximity and the Matsushita Group’s vast technological expertise to provide a one-stop shopping solution for advanced lighting components.
