The GreenLight-Programme is used to improve the power efficiency of the illumination of private and public organizations and companies. The participants commit themselves to modernize illumination whereever energy savings justify the investment and integrate efficient, easily available illumination systems into new buildings.

The target of this programme is to reduce energy consumption of outdoor lighting and internal illumination of commercial and public companies within Europe. This is an essential contribution to achieve the aim of the European community for lowering the CO2-emissions.

For the second time, Vossloh-Schwabe participated in the Interlight fair in Instanbul from October 9. to 12., 2008. With 89 exhibitors and 7623 visitors from 37 countries, the Interlight was a successful show in the region and an excellent presentation platform for our wide product range.

 

This year, our LED solutions took centre stage. The discussions with numerous professional visitors showed that the trend away from purely decorative LED applications to professional LED indoor lighting continues.

 

We receive positive customer feedback regarding Vossloh-Schwabe’s product catalogue in national language. The comprehensive technical documentation fullfiled all customer requirements.

 

In the future, VS will focus even more on customised product solutions with special attention to the Turkish market. Parallely, our VS seminars will help to set new quality standards in the component range.

We are pleased to announce the merger of Universal Lighting Technologies with Vossloh-Schwabe in ASIA.

With the aim to constantly enhance the benefits and services to our customers, Panasonic Electric Works, Co.,Ltd. (PEW, former Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. till September 30th , 2008) took the decision to merge the two Panasonic Lighting Component Operations in th Asia with effect September 30 , 2008 to one stronger company under the VS brand.

For the fourth time, VS participated in the biggest lighting fair in Asia.

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition 2008, took place from June, 8. to 11.2008.

With over 30,000 visitors, the Guangzhou fair established a new record. 20% of the professionals came from abroad (South East Asia, America, Europe and Australia).

More than 1,250 attendees from 25 countries exhibited in 4 fair halls.

Our fair team of 13 employees welcomed more than 400 visitors at our 54 m² booth.

The new booth design drew the attention of visitors to VS’s new products.

The Light & Building fair 2008 in Frankfurt ended after setting a sensational trade fair record.
Around 2,173 exhibitors welcomed altogether 165,000 visitors (2006: 135,000).
At the request of the exhibitors Light + Building was extended to six days this year to allow for more time for valuable customer discussions.


At the usual location, Vossloh-Schwabe presented on 352 qm a complete, newly designed booth and communicated strong impressions. The presentations continuously attracted the attention of 1,000 interested customers.

 

Our international fair team was always a competent partner and informed the visitors about the latest VS developments and technologies and demonstrated how VS can assist future lighting endeavours.

 

Among innovations of the extensive range of products such as lampholders, capacitors, magnetic and electronic ballasts and HID systems right up to LED systems for the first time the worldwide presence was showcased with the Panasonic brand and exhibit.

 

The new touch screen system grabbed lots of attention, providing lighting professionals with the opportunity to browse the expansive line of VS components.

It enabled them to search through the products by lighting category such as HID and fluorescent or to take the novel approach of viewing by lighting application or reference numbers.

Overall the show was a great success with high volume traffic of attendees eager to see what new innovative products Vossloh-Schwabe had to show.

More than 850 exhibitors from over 55 countries and over 35,000 industry professionals from 95 countries attend in this fair.

“Light is of elementary importance for humanity”, said Wolfgang Dik, ambassador of the German embassy in Moscow. This is also noticeable in the Russian economy. The continuous boom in the lighting branch will continue in the future, together with the high building activity in the largest state of the world.

No residential houses, factories or offices can be constructed without lighting.

 

In spite of the revitalization of Russian production, the increasing demand in the Russian Federation cannot meet the requirements without relying on.

To fully realize the huge market potential, Vossloh-Schwabe exhibited at the 13th international trade fair for lighting, lighting technology and intelligent building technology from November 27. to 30., 2007 in Moscow.

 

All VS components were shown on current sample boards in Russian language on the 36qm stand. The fair attendance was a co-operation of VS and our authorized distributor Terna Lighting.

 

Spirits were high and the extremely positive atmosphere led so many new orders being issued to VS.

From October 28 to 31, 2007, the largest international lighting trade fair in Asia was held at the Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Center.
Lighting industry professionals from all over the world attended the show.
1,344 exhibitors from 31 different countries have participated in the fair that had a total of 43,758 visitors.

The newly designed, larger Vossloh-Schwabe booth was located in hall 1, the most important hall for global companies.
This new booth communicated strong impressions, and the presentations continuously attracted the attention of many visitors.
More than 1,200 interested clients informed themselves about new products in the LED, lampholder, magnetic and electronic ballast, energy saving and quality control fields.

In 2010 South Africa will host the Fifa Soccer World Cup, the first time the premier sporting event will be held on the African continent. Five existing stadiums will be used, and another five are to be built, in time for the world´s biggest sporting event. One of these five will be the Rand stadium in Johannesburg. It will offer space for 30,000 visitors. The stadion lighting powered by VS lighting components (2000 Watt ballasts and capacitors).

The VISION is the market place for the machine vision industry and the no. 1 event in the sector. This is confirmed by the visitor and exhibitor numbers, which continue to rise year after year. Each third visitor makes the journey to the trade fair from abroad. A total of 40 nations are represented at VISION.

This Year Vossloh-Schwabe Optoelectronic participate the first-time at the VISION and will show new trends and developments regarding the LED technology.

The Construmat fair was held in Barcelona from the 14th to the 19th of May 2007 and has demonstrated, once more, to be the greatest Building trade fair in Spain and a good reference within the European Market.
Over 4.500 companies from 50 different countries all over the world have participated in 2.450 stands and have received a total of 286.000 visitors, 8% more than in 2005.

Vossloh Schwabe was represented with a modern, 48 square-metre stand and had the opportunity to exhibit its extensive range of products as lampholders, capacitors, magnetic and electronic ballasts and HID systems right up to LED systems.  
At this fair VS has registered 440 visitors, mainly specialists in architecture, design and engineering who learnt about the fascinating new light technology. Furthermore, our own customers have had the chance to meet personally all the VSE Staff and get more information about all the process that is involved in their orders.

This consolidates Construmat as the greatest reference event for professionals within the construction business due to the extensive surface of the trade and the wide amount of exhibitors and visitors therefore it becomes the perfect platform for the most innovative tendencies of the sector. For all these Construmat 2007 was a great success for Vossloh Schwabe.

Vossloh-Schwabe unveiled their new 6 x 12 m booth with interactive touch screen kiosks to several hundred architects, designers, end users and OEMS that visited them in NYC.

Once inside the booth these attendees were introduced to the many new products in the field of lampholders and ballasts available for their HID, FL and CFL markets, as well as LED technology.

With two 2,40 m high walls displaying physical samples of their new products and new interactive touch screen displays to showcase the complete product lines, their guests were impressed with the variety of high quality UL components available for US market.

The touch screen displays grabbed lots of attention, giving lighting professionals the opportunity to browse the expansive line of VS components.
Here they were able to search through the products by lighting category such as HID and Fluorescent or to take the novel approach of viewing by lighting application.

Overall the show was a great success with high volume traffic of attendees eager to see what new innovative products Vossloh-Schwabe had to offer.

The Middle East Electricity 2007 showed an increase in visitor numbers by 41%.
850 exhibitors from 53 different countries were present at this fair in Dubai.
More than 200 lighting manufacturers, traders and contractors from all Middle Eastern countries visited Vossloh-Schwabe´s booth.

The INTERLIGHT has been the business platform for lighting, installation and energy-saving technology in Eastern Europe.

During the four days on which it was held, electronica 2006 – the world’s leading trade show for electronic components, systems and applications – set new records. From 14 through 17 November 2006 approximately 78,000 electronics professionals visited the fair.

Although for VS Optoelectronic the fair was a complete success. We were very pleased to see that numerous specialists took advantage of the opportunity to inform themselves first-hand about our new products and solutions.

From 8 to 11 June 2006, Vossloh-Schwabe presented itself at the Guangzhou Lighting Fair in China and impressed visitors from all over the world with the latest VS developments and technologies from the fields of lampholders, capacitors, magnetic and electronic operating devices and HID systems.

 

Vossloh-Schwabe’s new LED systems and ALF, VS’ automated wiring system, also attracted much attention.

 

Both the visitors and exhibitors of this important event for the Asian market were overwhelmed by the reactions before and after the fair.

The Lightfair in Las Vegas, which was held from 28 May to 1 June this year, is the most important fair for commercial lighting products in North America. The fair regularly provides manufacturers and suppliers with an opportunity to present their innovations, ideas and technologies all around the topic of lighting. This year, the fair mainly revolved around the latest energy saving options, lengthening the service life of lamps and increasing light output.

 

Vossloh-Schwabe made a superb impression thanks to its extensive product range, customer-friendly system solutions and the high degree of quality consciousness throughout the company.

The Light & Building fair 2006 in Frankfurt ended with a double-digit increase in percentage of registered visitors.
Around 2,100 exhibitors welcomed altogether 134,489 visitors (2004: 116,000 visitors).
Compared to the event two years ago, this is an increase by 16 percent.

This sensational trend was mirrored at Vossloh-Schwabe´s booth as well.
More than 2,000 interested customers informed themselves about VS innovations in the fields of electronic and magnetic operating devices, lampholders and HID systems.
Particulary interest was expressed towards product developments of LED technology and DALI components.

Just in time of Light & Building, VS presented their new VS general catalogue (Edition 2006/2007) as well as a new Dali brochure.

Positive result was the signing of new contracts in the range of the automation system ALF and the new VS electronic ballast series.

At 511 pages, this catalogue is the largest overview of available components and technical directory in the

lighting industry.

This issue especially focuses on up-dating the technical part of our catalogue, giving you a complete overview of technical terms, diagrams, explanation and information.

 

Of course, our new catalogue also containing a great number of new products, designs and updates, reflecting the high level of innovation in our industry.
